Hundreds of surface pattern designs have flowed from my creative mind and pen, while designing for the hospitality and resort market.
Along with designing custom textiles, I’ve served as a conduit during the conceptual design process, to provide top US design firms with stunning hospitality carpet solutions.
The New Art Collection was my very first Axminster collection, designed within the months leading up to Cambridge Weaver’s tradeshow debut at HDExpo 2009, Las Vegas.
The designs were rendered either in Illustrator or Texcelle (Nedgraphics).

“the process of designing fiber art to be installed in a forest forged a deeper understanding and reverence for nature’s dynamic environment and how it can transport us beyond our modern world. our pulse slows while our minds wander. in that moment, we can discover new shapes and patterns, color, movement, and sounds. we are transported by the unexplained. we be the child that seeks delight and wonderment.”
45 trees were embellished with felted fiber art to encourage an experience of drawing closer to nature and discovering along the forest’s path…a bit of mystery, whimsy, and enchantment.
my thesis was inspired by Richard Louv's "Last Child in the Woods" and E.O. Wilson’s theory of biophlia - connecting people with nature.
